I’ve been slowly going through my grandmother Rose Ridnor’s notebooks and writings, and found the poem below:
Remember me
Let me not be forgot.
Remember me
Short days ago, I was among you,
now I sleep in quiet rest.
Remember me
That I lived and loved,
and left my mark for all to see
Remember me
That I was not perfect
nor without blemish,
yet nor was I without virtues,
without humanity.
Remember me
For the good that was in me.
All else let slumber.
Remember me
And the spirit that was me,
shall rise out of the darkness
into the sunshine.
Remember me
